UPDATE: Police investigating a bullet fired into a Haworth home are reviewing a video that shows two gunshots coming from a passing vehicle. Two vehicles that appear to be sedans had emerged from a side street onto Sunset Avenue near the White Beeches Golf and Country Club at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, Lt. Justin Fox said on Monday, Dec. 19. Cuban Pete's Shooting Under Investigation
An argument escalated into a shooting earlier this week at Cuban Pete's in Montclair, police say. An argument inside of the Bloomfield Avenue restaurant escalated spilled onto the street turned physical between four males just after 12 a.m. Monday, Montclair Police Sgt. Terence Turner said. One male pulled out a handgun and fired three rounds, which did not strike anyone, Turner said. Three Ruger 9mm shell casings were recovered at the scene, he said. SWAT Standoff Ends In Upper Saddle River After Drunken Suicidal Man Fires Shot, Points Gun
An intoxicated, suicidal Upper Saddle River man pointed a gun out the window at SWAT team members before surrendering after a 3½-hour standoff overnight Sunday, authorities said. Family members fled as Christopher Koski, 24, fired a shotgun blast in the house and threw two rifles out the window, Detective Lt. Edward Kane said. : Driver Captured, Charged In Route 46 Road Rage Shooting In Elmwood Park
UPDATE: Passaic County sheriff's officers captured a driver who police said fired a shot into another motorist's door during a road-rage incident Thursday afternoon on westbound Route 46 in Elmwood Park. They also recovered the 9mm handgun that was used, Police Chief Michael Foligno told Daily Voice. Joseph Ortiz, 22, of Paterson, was turned over to Elmwood Park police following the shooting just before 3 p.m. near the intersection of the highway and Boulevard, Foligno said.
