Costco Submits Plans For Route 17 Site Of Shuttered Stop & Shop In Paramus, Mayor Says
The future of the shuttered Stop & Shop at the border of Ridgewood on Route 17 in Paramus is becoming clearer. On Thursday, Aug. 22, Paramus Mayor Chris DiPiazza announced Costco submitted plans for the site. Stop & Shop shuttered in 2022 while Kmart closed in 2021. "Well, it is official," the mayor wrote on Facebook. "As of this morning Costco Wholesale has submitted their plans to the Planning Board for a location on Rt. 17S (the Stop & Shop/KMart)." Live Mas! Taco Bell Approved In Bergenfield
Yet another fast-food joint is making its way to Bergenfield. Taco Bell was approved at a Planning Board meeting last month to be built in the Foster Village Shopping Center, NorthJersey.com reports. The brand new eatery will be 2,080 square feet with a drive-thru, 42 indoor seats, 11 outdoor seats and 27 parking spots, the article says citing Councilman Tom Lodato. No timeline yet on completion.
