Children Critical, NJ Drivers Hospitalized In Wrong-Way NY Crash
A wrong-way, three-vehicle crash in New York sent multiple people to the hospital, including two drivers from New Jersey.
Police responded to a crash in Rockland County at the intersection of Route 303 and Greenbush Road in Blauvelt at about 12:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, according to the Orangetown Police Department.
A 2001 BMW X5, driven by 20-year-old Thomas Robb, was southbound, traveling the wrong way on a one-way section of Greenbush Road, and entered the intersection at Route 303, striking a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 32-year-old woman from Newark.

Pagans Shoot At Hells Angel On NJ Turnpike After Baseball Bat Bar Brawl, Feds Charge
Two high-ranking members of the Pagans who were beaten with baseball bats in a barroom brawl sought revenge by shooting at one of the Hells Angels on the New Jersey Turnpike, federal authorities charged.
Larry "Savage" Ortiz, 31, of Elizabeth, and Junius "Jayo" Aquino, aka 38, of Vauxhall, were in a Verona bar when they were attacked on Oct. 21, 2020, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Philip R. Sellinger said.

FBI Bust Nets 7 Arrests, 8 Illegal Weapons After Newark Shooting Spree: Police
Authorities recovered eight illegal weapons and arrested seven individuals in what Newark police are calling "an intense violence reduction operation."
The FBI and the US Attorney General's Office were among the agencies deployed in the city's hotspots following four non-fatal shootings that injured eight people Tuesday, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said.

Paterson Police Seize 359 Heroin Folds, Illegal Gun, Magazines, Bust 7
Separate operations Wednesday produced 359 heroin folds, 107 Ecstasy pills, a handgun and high-capacity magazines, along with seven arrests, Paterson police said.
Responding to area complaints of early-morning drug dealing, city Narcotics Division detectives arrested two people after watching a sale at the corner of Marshall and Main streets around 7:50 a.m., Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said.
Evelyn Garcia, 58, was charged with dealing 109 heroin folds and having 250 more for sale, among various drug offenses, the director said.

An unrelenting series of streets busts by Paterson police have yielded nearly 10,000 bags of heroin, more than $16,500 in drug money, a few illegal handguns and dozens of arrests the past few weeks, authorities said.
The biggest haul – 8,900 folds of heroin -- was taken from 29-year-old Don Gonzalez, 23-year-old Shacell Nugent and 24-year-old Jocquice Timmons while they and others were being taken into custody during a quick strike at 10th Avenue and East 29th Street, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.
Police also seized more than $4,000 from the trio, Speziale said.

Paterson PD Street Sweep: Hookers, Johns, Buyers, Sellers, Pounds Of Drugs
PATERSON, N.J. – A series of strikes by Paterson police over a nine-day stretch produced dozens of arrests – including 22 accused hookers and 11 alleged johns – along with the seizures of nearly 5 pounds of pot, more than a pound of heroin and crack combined and various other drugs.
Nearly all of the heroin was packaged for sale, as was some of the crack, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

PATERSON, N.J. – Passaic County sheriff’s detectives watched a major drug deal go down, then seized nearly five pounds of cocaine, three guns, four vehicles and about $35,000 in proceeds while arresting five men, authorities said.
