Advance Auto Parts To Close Over 700 Stores
A nationwide auto parts retailers says it will close over 700 stores as part of “a strategic plan to improve business performance.” Advance Auto Parts, which has about 4,800 total stores, and locations in almost every state, made the announcement on Thursday, Nov. 14. The affected outlets will close by May 2025 and are made up of 523 corporate stores, and 204 independently owned locations. In addition, four distribution centers will also close. A shoplifting turned into a violent robbery when an employee at an auto parts store in Saddle Brook was struck by the thief's vehicle. The Hispanic driver being sought by police was merely shoplifting when he walked out of the Advance Auto Parts store on Market Street with two five-gallon pails full of merchandise around 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 12. Marine With NJ Ties ID'd As Motorcyclist Killed In PA Crash
The motorcycle rider who died at the scene of a crash in central Pennsylvania on Saturday, August 20, has been identified as a former marine with ties to New Jersey. Ricardo Reyes, 35, of Mount Joy, was killed in the two-vehicle crash at 8:15 p.m., according to a release by the Lancaster County Forensic Center. The Manor Township police were called to a crash involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Seitz and Manor Church roads at 7:22 p.m., according to a release by the department.
