Zachary who was known as "Z" to his family and friends, fought a "courageous battle against leukemia," according to his obituary. Richard Bogholtz Of Mahopac, Longtime Employee At IBM In Fishkill, Dies A retired engineer from IBM in Fishkill, Richard Bogholtz Jr., a longtime resident of Mahopac, died Friday, Aug. 30, at age 90. He was born in the Bronx on Nov. 5, 1928, the son of Richard and Wilhelmina (Bauman) Bogholtz. Bogholtz served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he earned the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was a ham radio operator and a member of the PEARL Radio Club and the Radio League. Bogholtz retired in 1991 from IBM Corp. in Fishkill.
