Learn Your Flood Risk At Passaic Information Sessions PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. -- New flood risk maps developed by FEMA are now available. County officials invite property owners to an open house Wednesday, Nov. 4 or Thursday, Nov. 5, to learn more about flood risk using the new maps. Everyone is at risk of flooding, they warn, and should be aware of the probable levels to be prepared. The Nov. 4 open house is in the Carnevale Center, 10 Lenox Ave., Pompton Lakes and the Nov. 5 open house is in Passaic Valley Regional High School, 100 E. Main St., Little Falls. The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge is the leading no-kill animal shelter in Bergen County and depends on donations to care for its animals.
