Paul M. 'Tom' Roth, 86, Of Haworth

HAWORTH, N.J. -- Paul M. “Tom” Roth, 86, of Haworth, died Saturday, Oct. 1. 

He was born in New York City to Julia F. (nee Kullmann) and Paul P. Roth and raised in Bergenfield prior to moving to Haworth. 

He was the president of the Retail Clerks Union, United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local #1049. He was a proud Army veteran and a past commander of the Haworth Chapter of the American Legion and member of the Cresskill Post #21. He was a devoted parishioner and served as usher at Sacred Heart Church in Haworth. 

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; children, Rita Skjold and her husband Tom, Mary DePietro and her husband Ted and Paul L. Roth; and grandchildren, Julianne Grehl and her husband Chris, and Nicholas DePietro. 

A funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 102 Park St., Haworth. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Family and friends are welcome to celebrate his life from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont.
