NORTHVALE, N.J. – The Northvale community is rallying around a 7-year-old resident who fell ill while on vacation over Easter weekend.
Vivienne Knopp “requires immediate, aggressive medical treatment to try to improve her medical situation,” Thomas Panarese wrote on a GoFundMe page he created Monday to raise funds for Vivienne’s treatment.
By Tuesday afternoon, more than $25,000 had been raised.
“She is a smart, funny, strong and energetic little girl who always has a huge smile on her face,” Panarese wrote. “Your support and donations are immediately needed to help her get the best treatment possible so she can continue to be a bright light in our community.”
Panarese did not disclose Vivienne's diagnosis out of respect for her family’s privacy.
