NORTHVALE, N.J. -- The borough of Northvale will continue its centennial celebration during the Town Day Carnival starting Friday, Sept. 23 at Hogan's Park.

Ridges, games and food vendors will be on hand to keep Northvale residents of all ages happy.

Northvale's early history can be placed back to Henry Hudson, who explored the area from the New York Harbor up the palisades. All of the land in the borough of Northvale was bought from the local Leni-Lenape Indians in 1681. It officially became a Bergen County borough in 1916.

The carnival will be held on Friday, Sept. 23 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 24 from 2 p.m. to 11 pm. and Sunday, Sept. 25 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Hogan Park is located on New York Ave.
