Old Tappan Performer Opens Northvale Acting Studio

NORTHVALE, N.J. -- Layla Francesca Bundrick has been the founding director of the CDW Drama Club in Old Tappan the past eight years.

Now she is opening the Acting Up Performing Arts Center on Livingston Avenue in Northvale. She has directed productions, including "Annie," "Bye Bye Birdie," "Seussical," "Pippin," "Peter Pan," "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "The Little Mermaid" and assistant-directed "The Laramie Project" at Ramapo College.

Bundrick also has performed in more than 30 plays and musicals and has appeared in numerous commercials and television shows, including as a regular/spokesperson on "Dance Party USA."

She attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy for Musical Theatre and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater from Ramapo College of New Jersey.

The Acting Up mission is to open up young, active and creative minds. She believes children of all ages should develop a strong sense of self-confidence and the courage to speak their minds in a safe, creative space.

The Acting Up Performing Arts Center focuses on the total development of each child -- intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.
