Former NJ Army Base Could Become New Netflix Studio
A 96-year-old New Jersey Army base could spend its next life as a production hub for Netflix. The streaming company announced it plans on bidding on the 289-acre portion of Fort Monmouth, located in Eatontown and Oceanport -- approximately 50 miles from New York City. The base was where civilian engineer Julius Rosenberg began his espionage career, and was also used by the US to develop radar technology. Number Of National Guard Troops Pulled From Inauguration For 'Questionable Behavior' Reaches 12
A dozen U.S. Army National Guard troops have been removed from Wednesday’s inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden, the Pentagon announced Tuesday. The services members were removed “out of an abundance of caution” after federal law enforcement authorities discovered “questionable behavior” or “inappropriate comments or texts,” a spokesman said. The behavior doesn’t necessarily have to involve extremism and could even be unrelated to the inauguration events, Chief Pentagon Spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said. The U.S. Department of Defense will conduct follow-up investigations to determine w…

TV Series: How New Jersey Native Helped Expose Lewinsky In Clinton Affair
Monica Lewinsky has decided it is time to share her story. Part of it chronicles the pivotal role of New Jersey native and former U.S. civil servant Linda Tripp, and her role in exposing the infamous scandal between Lewinsky and former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Sunday's two-hour premiere of "The Clinton Affair" on A&E ended with Lewinsky noting that Tripp -- formerly of East Hanover and Jersey City -- turned out not to be the trusted she initially thought she was. Lewinsky was 24 years old when her affair with Clinton, which ultimately led to Clinton's 1998 impeachment, came to lig…
