Two Pedestrians Struck, Seriously Injured In Palisades Park Two pedestrians were hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Palisades Park on Sunday, Sept. 8, authorities said. The two were crossing the street at West Edsall Boulevard and Highland Avenue when they were hit by a car just before 8 p.m., local police said. Both were rushed to the hospital and the county prosecutor's office is investigating, police said.

Cruz L. Baten, 32, was charged with simple assault and criminal mischief and sent to the Bergen County Jail on Tuesday, June 6, in connection with what Palisades Park police said was an alleged weekend incident on Highland Avenue. Borough resident Tomas Castrolarios, 23, was spotted near the corner of Hillside Avenue and West Edsall Boulevard following the aborted break-in on Highland Avenue shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Detective Lt.
