Feds: Leader Of Ring That Flooded South Jersey, Philly 'Burbs With Fentanyl, Meth Gets 18 Years
A drug kingpin who headed a network that slung fentanyl and meth in South Jersey and the suburbs of Philadelphia while he hid from his pursuers was sentenced Thursday to a plea-bargained 18 years in federal prison. Glenn Long, 29, of Philadelphia, must serve just about all of the time he received in U.S. District Court in Camden on Jan. 4 because there’s no parole in the federal prison system. Feds: Men From Philly, South Jersey Admit Roles In Major Meth, Fentanyl Trafficking Network
UPDATE: A man from Philadelphia and another from South Jersey admitted their roles in a major drug trafficking ring that dealt meth and fentanyl, federal authorities said. Kevin Salmon, 25, had 5½ pounds of meth and two guns in his home when it was raided by authorities, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Philip R. Sellinger said. Salmon had served as a courier for a major drug-trafficking network that "distributed large quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl," the U.S. attorney said. A second defendant, John Munson, 47, of Deptford, admitted selling meth as part of the operation, he said. …

A father and son from Pennsylvania got the surprise of a lifetime from a humpback whale while fishing on the Jersey Shore — and they got it on video. Zach Piller, 23, of Bensalem, took his phone out to capture his dad Doug's catch while fishing off coast of Belmar on Wednesday, Oct. 12. That's when the whale came lurching out of the water, smacking the side of the Pillers' boat. "Oh sh*t," Zach yells from behind the camera. "I got that on video!" The athletic community at Stevens Institute of Technology was mourning the loss of former record-setting athlete Brett Incollingo. The Yardley, PA native died on Oct. 6 at 28 years old. Brett holds the record for career face-off wins with Stevens' men's lacrosse in its 137-year history, having finished his career with 584 wins in the "X." A Second Team All-Empire 8 Conference selection in 2016, Incollingo also holds four of the top-15 single-season performances in the faceoff circle in program history. NJ Man Wanted For Knocking Elderly Man Unconscious During PA Robbery
Authorities are searching for a New Jersey man who they say assaulted and robbed and an elderly man in Pennsylvania. An arrest warrant was issued for Tyrick Miranda, of New Brunswick, on charges of robbery, aggravated assault, and simple assault in the undated incident, Bensalem police said in a Thursday, Oct. 6 news release. Miranda punched the 70-year-old man in the face, knocking him unconscious, police said. A 41-year-old man was charged Thursday with the abuse of a corpse for leaving an overdose victim's body behind a Bucks County dumpster last month instead of calling for help, authorities said. After 40-year-old Dean A.
