The Paramus native comes to the Daily Voice with a rich background in the workings of community government, education and lifestyles in Bergen and Passaic counties. She is the founder of hyperlocal news sites Midland Park Press and Northwest Bergen Press.

Fetty Wap Injured in Paterson Motorcycle Crash PATERSON, N.J. — Fetty Wap was injured in a motorcycle accident in Paterson Saturday afternoon, TMZ reports. The injuries are not life-threatening.  The Paterson-bred rapper born Willie Maxwell II reportedly drove his motorcycle into a car while making a left turn from Park Avenue to East 30th Street around 12:40 p.m., northjersey.com reports. Bear Warning Issued For Ramapo Mountains MAHWAH, N.J. -- An increase in black bear activity in Ramapo Mountain State Forest has prompted a warning from the state Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Fish and Wildlife and State Park Service. Last weekend two hikers on the White Trail reported an encounter with a potentially aggressive black bear and a third hiker and his dog came within 15 feet of one. Enrollment In Wallington Schools Expected To Increase WALLINGTON, N.J. — Enrollment in the Wallington school district is expected to increase by roughly 120 students in the next five years, according to a demographic study by the district, northjersey.com reports. According to the report, the demographic study is part of the district's state-mandated, long-range facilities plan, which is due this year.
