Kamal Simmons entertained the crowd as Clumsy the Clown by making balloon creations. Music was provided by the Jam Straight Band. The Elks also held a raffle. “The Elks donate a lot for the Boys and Girl Scouts, so we’re here to give back,” said Ann Bischer, whose niece, Jaclyn Dore, also attended. Dumont Library Ready To Draw Winner In Pumpkin Contest DUMONT, N.J. — Homestead Library in Dumont invited residents to face off in a pumpkin decorating contest, with winners chosen in time for Halloween. Artists were invited to paint the pumpkins and submit them from Oct. 19 - 24 in favorite children’s book characters. The library had a few restrictions -- including no carved pumpkins so that children would avoid knives.
