Joe Gomez has worked in news rooms all across the world.

He started as a radio news reporter at Newsradio 850 KOA in Denver shortly after leaving the University of Colorado at Boulder. Gomez then went on to work as a reporter in Seattle, Houston, Dallas and Washington DC, where he was a National Correspondent for NBC News Radio.

He has appeared on National Television in the US, the UK and in Pakistan as a reporter and commentator.

Rawlinson was part of a military family, and lived in many places including Germany and Texas, but had been a resident of Maryland since he was eight years old, according to the obit.
