Woman, 44, struck, killed on Route 17 in Upper Saddle River a suicide, police say

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 44-year-old woman struck and killed by a car on Route 17 last night left behind a suicide note, Upper Saddle River Police Chief Patrick Rotella said this morning.

The woman was struck between the right and middle lanes of traffic just before 9:30 p.m. south of Jack Daniels Audi.

“Witness accounts and a note located close to the scene confirmed the incident as a suicide attempt,” Rotella said.

The highway was closed for about three hours for the investigation.
