Allan I. Davis (MUGSHOT: Bergen County Prosecutor)
Allan I. Davis, 58, is listed as a Megan’s Law offender in New York after he was convicted a dozen years ago of traveling from Marlyland to Tampa, Fla., for what he thought was a liasion with a 14-year-old girl. Authorities busted him for having child pornography.
This time, Molinelli said, Davis went online and connected with a detective from the prosecutor’s office who was trolling for predators.
Davis, an engineer who lives in Valley Stream and worked as a civilian employee for the government before his arrest, is charged with attempted child endangerment and attempted manufacture of child pornography.
He is being held on $250,000 pending a Tuesday arraignment in Superior Court in Hackensack.
Molinelli thanked Nassau County police, as well as the local departments who most recently rotated officers into his Computer Crimes Task Force — Fort Lee, Maywood, Upper Saddle and Waldwick.
