Fair Lawn pedestrian struck

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A man crossing Century Road near Saddle River Road in a marked crosswalk in Fair Lawn was struck by a vehicle shortly before 7:30 tonight.

The victim’s injuries didn’t appear life-threatening, as members of the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps stabilized him at the scene before taking him to Hackensack University Medical Center.

Paramedics from The Valley Hospital also assisted.

The man apparently had just gotten off a commuter bus before the crash.

Fair Lawn police were investigating.
