Car Avoiding Dead Deer Overturns On Route 80 East In Parsippany Traffic backed up on the eastbound side of Route 80 around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday as responders worked to clear a deer carcass and overturned vehicle. The right lane was closed at Exit 43 to I-287 after the car flipped in an attempt to avoid the deceased animal, drivers said. Injuries were unknown and minor delays were being reported. Montague Motorcyclist Medevac'd After Crash With Deer A motorcyclist was flown to Morristown Medical Center after hitting a deer Monday night in Montague, authorities said. The 60-year-old man from the township was alert and conscious when police arrived to the scene -- the intersection of River and Weider roads -- around 8:30 p.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez said. The nature of the injuries were not immediately available but Goez said they were non life-threatening.
