Pedestrian Struck Dead By State Police Trooper: Prosecutor A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a New Jersey State Police trooper early Thursday morning, authorities in Middlesex County said. The crash occurred around 5:55 a.m. near on Route 1 south near Raymond Road in South Brunswick, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and his identity was being withheld pending notification. The investigation is active and continuing. Prosecutor: Man Struck, Killed On Route 46 In Morris County A man was struck and killed on Route 46 in Morris County Wednesday night, authorities said. The man was hit while attempting to cross the road near 690 Rt. 46 westbound in Parsippany-Troy Hills around 7:35 p.m., Acting Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said. He sustained severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, Carroll said. The man was not in a designated crosswalk when he was hit, Carroll said. His name has not been released.
