Bomb Squad Called To Death In Allentown Apartment, Police Say A bomb squad was called to an Allentown home after a roommate reported a man’s death, local police said. Benjamin Boehm, 39, was found dead in a home located at 1600 block of East Cedar Street on Sunday around 8:30 p.m., Lehigh County officials said. The Allentown Fire Department was called to the scene after police finding containers and packages with hazardous labels on them, according to Fire Capt. John Christopher. Alexander A. Zarnas, 36, was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Cedar Crest two days after being hit by a car near 6710 Mountain Road in Lower Macungie Township on March 9, TNonline reports. Lehigh Valley Native, Longtime Nursing Home Volunteer Kristin Herpel Dies, 24 Lehigh Valley native and longtime nursing home volunteer Kristin Ann Herpel died Feb. 13 at the age of 24. Herpel attended Parkland High School, where she graduated in 2015, her obituary says. She then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Cedar Crest College in 2019, her memorial says. Herpel had been working at Brookdale Assisted Living in Dublin for the past year, her obit says. She was also a longtime volunteer at Cedarbrook nursing home in Allentown. In her free time, Herpel enjoyed sprint car racing. She was also a member of the Cetronia Fire Company Social Hall …
