A 60-year-old Mount Olive Township man was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 7 and charged with maintaining a peer to peer network that showcased child pornography and abuse, authorities said. Jose Louisa was discovered to have a BitTorrent sharing networking that featured sexual exploitation or abuse of a minor, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said. A Morris County man has been sentenced to 12 years behind bars for his role in a Fentanyl overdose that claimed the life of a 19-year-old at a local hotel. John P. Rowe, formerly of Budd Lake, was sentenced to an aggregate term of 12 years New Jersey State Prison subject to the No Early Release Act on Saturday, April 29, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said. The 61-year-old Mount Olive High School math teacher who spent two years stalking a student has learned his fate, authorities announced. Tajinder Tung, of Stewartsville, has been sentenced to 60 days at the Morris County Correctional Facility as a condition of a 3-year probationary term and was ordered to forfeit his public employment, Prosecutor Robert J. Prosecutor: LongHorn Steakhouse Fire Deemed Not Suspicious, ‘Exact Cause’ Undetermined
A Jan. 19 fire that ravaged LongHorn Steakhouse in Flanders doesn’t appear suspicious but has an undetermined cause, Acting Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said. The fire broke out at the Flanders location on International Drive South around 12 a.m., according to Byram Township fire officials.
