Gannon described Kelley Zienowicz, who will be sworn in as chief sheriff's officer next week. The swearing in ceremony will be Sept. 3, making Zienowicz the highest-ranking officer in the law enforcement bureau and the only female chief in Morris County. Roxbury HS Grad Joins Mount Olive PD Morris County native Sean Smith will be joining the Mount Olive Police Department. The 2012 Roxbury High School graduated attended the County College of Morris and West Virginia University. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from WVU in May 2017. Smith is a graduate of the Morris County Police Academy's 91st Basic Police Class. His father is retired Roxbury Police Detective Kevin Smith. His mother is Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Melanie Smith.

Retiring Jefferson Police Chief's 'Leadership, Sharp Wit' Will Be Missed Dozens of law enforcement officers and community members gathered outside of Jefferson Township's police headquarters Friday to bid farewell to Chief William Craig, Jr., who retired after 30 years of service in the department. Capt. Sean Conrad, who will soon be sworn in as the department's new chief, said Craig's "leadership, diplomacy and super-sharp wit" will be missed. Craig attended the Morris County Police Academy in 1989.
