Man Fatally Struck By NJ Transit Train In Madison: Officials A man was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train Tuesday, Nov. 7. The Morris & Essex Line train struck the man just west of the Madison station around 3:30 p.m., an NJ Transit official said. None of the 60 passengers on the train were hurt. The train had left Penn Station and was scheduled to arrive in Dover at 4:05 p.m. Rail service was experiencing an hour delay in both directions at 5:50 p.m., NJ Transit officials said.

Pedestrian Killed By Train In Morris County ID'd As Union County Woman Authorities have identified the individual struck and killed by a train in Morris County earlier this week as a Union County woman. Eileen Cunningham, 64, of New Providence, was struck by a Morris & Essex line train at the Madison Station Monday afternoon, NJT spokesman Jim Smith said. The train was set to arrive in Dover at 4:46 p.m. No further information was released.
