Heroes: Morris County Officers Revive Unconscious Man With CPR Four Dover police officers were awarded Life Saving Award citations for reviving an unconscious man using CPR. Officers Louis Sperry, Mario Tamariz, Juan Concepcion, and Anthony Morin responded to a report of the unresponsive man near Richards Avenue and North Bergen Street, Dover Police said. The officers took quick action and began administering CPR to the man — a Dover resident — for a “significant amount of time,” ultimately saving his life, the department said. “Great team work!” the department wrote on Facebook.

Garofalo, 57, of Totowa told CBS2 that he asked the youngster where his mother was and he pointed inside. He found the woman unconscious from a bad reaction to medication and quickly dialed 911, CBS2 reported. “If it wasn’t for him, the EMT wouldn’t have gotten there as quickly and I would’ve been brought to the hospital,” she told the TV station. Florham Park Officer Honored For Saving Choking Infant A Florham Park officer was recognized at a recent municipal meeting for his heroic efforts in saving a choking infant. The six-week-old baby had stopped breathing and was on the floor -- her mother performing chest compressions -- when officer Jared Orgel arrived at the house with Detective Sgt. Brian Ford and Officer Michael Zvolensky around 7:40 p.m. last June. Orgel picked the baby up and held her with her stomach on his forearm as he gave her back blows.
