Head-On Sussex County Crash Leaves 4 People Seriously Injured: State Police
Four people were seriously injured in a head-on Sussex County crash on Saturday, Nov. 25, New Jersey State Police said.
A Honda Civic heading south on W. Owassa Turnpike (Route 521) crossed over the double yellow line and struck a Honda CRV heading north, head-on around 11:50 a.m. near milepost 26.2 in Frankford Township, NJSP Sgt. Charles Marchan said.
The driver of the CRV, a 75-year-old Newark man, suffered moderate injuries, as did his passenger, a 37-year-old Newark man.

Three people were hospitalized with serious injuries sustained in a head-on Jefferson crash, authorities said.
Naiomy Rivera, 18 of Somerset, was headed eastbound on Berkshire Valley Road when she attempted to pass another car, striking a 2015 Honda CRV headed westbound head on around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jefferson Police Sgt. Joseph Kratzel said.
Rivera, her 15-year-old passenger and the 29-year-old Honda driver from Warwick, N.Y., were all taken to Saint Clare's Denville and Dover with serious injuries, Kratzel said.
