Scooter-Riding Youngster Struck By Landscaping Truck In Bergen: Police A youngster was hospitalized after being struck by a landscape vehicle while riding a scooter Friday morning in Demarest, authorities said. The crash occurred at the corner of Prescott Street and Hardenburgh Avenue around 9 a.m. May 26. A medical chopper was summoned at first. That was canceled, however, and Cresskill Fire Department EMS members took the boy to Hackensack University Medical Center. SUVs Collide In Demarest, One Hits House No serious injuries were reported after SUVs collided in Demarest, sending one smack into a house. The crash occurred Knickerbocker Road and Hardenburgh Avenue just before dusk Sunday. Demarest police, firefighters and the Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded.
