Police: Mother, Toddler Struck By Car In Morris County Crosswalk A mother and her 4-year-old child were struck by a car while walking in a marked crosswalk in Morris County Tuesday morning, authorities said. The 41-year-old mother was walking with her child in the crosswalk at Main Street and Coleman Avenue in Chatham when they were hit by a 22-year-old man from Gaithersburg, Maryland just after 7:05 a.m., Chatham Police said. Both the mother and child were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. Officers Interrupt Chatham Car Burglary A 20-year-old man was still at the scene of the crime when he was arrested for burglarizing a car in Chatham Thursday afternoon, police said. The man — whose name was not released — is accused of breaking into a car on Vine Street around 3:15 p.m., said Chatham Police, who observed the suspect at the scene of the crime.
