The fire was reported at a home on King Street in Dover shortly before 11 a.m., according to a Facebook post from the town’s fire department.

After battling multiple obstacles including “midday heat, water supply issues, and limited initial manpower,” the fire was placed under control with help from mutual aid departments, authorities said.

“At least two families” were displaced in the fire, DailyRecord reports citing Dover Fire Chief Jon Filosa.

No injuries were reported, and property damage was “kept to a minimum,” the department said.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, Filosa said.
