Affectionately known as Tim, he graduated rom Kinnelon High School in 2000 and went on to complete the apprenticeship program through the United Association of New Jersey Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Division, his obituary says.
He joined his father in the family business, ultimately serving as the vice president of Mechanical Service Corp. in Whippany.
Tim is survived by his parents, Harry and Barbara Hartigan; brother Brian and his wife Rachelle; grandmother Sienie McGuire; niece and nephew Maggie and Henry and Hartigan; along with aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Huberts Animal Welfare Center in Madison.
