On Saturday, March 30, firefighters were called to a home on Lozier Road after a cat got stuck in a tree behind the house 40 feet into the woods, the Budd Lake Fire Department Co. #1 said.

A 35-foot ladder was used to get the cat, who was 30 feet up, from the tree, firefighters said. One firefighter went up the ladder and the cat jumped down from the tree where another firefighter helped break its fall, firefighters said.

The cat then ran back home, firefighters said.

"As a fire department, we do it all," the Budd Lake Fire Department said.
