Three $10K Mega Millions Tickets Sold In Monmouth County, Jackpot Climbs To $1.1 Billion

Three Mega Millions tickets worth $10,000 were sold in Monmouth County in the same week, including two tickets purchased at the same supermarket, lottery officials said.

The New Jersey Lottery said two winning tickets in the drawing on Tuesday, Mar. 19 were bought at the ShopRite grocery store on Route 35 in Hazlet and Max's Beer, Wine & Liquors on Route 9 in Freehold. The winning numbers were 24, 46, 49, 62, and 66, and the MegaBall was 7.

The Hazlet ShopRite also sold a $10,000 ticket in the drawing on Friday, Mar. 22. The winning numbers were 3, 8, 31, 35, and 44, and the MegaBall is 16.

Mega Millions players must match four numbers and the MegaBall to win $10,000. Nine tickets in New Jersey were $10,000 winners in the Tuesday and Friday drawings.

No one has won the Mega Millions jackpot since Friday, Dec. 8, 2023. The next drawing will be on Tuesday, Mar. 26, and the jackpot is an estimated $1.1 billion, which would be the eighth largest in U.S. history.

When combined with Powerball, lottery players are looking to win nearly $2 billion in lottery jackpots. The Powerball jackpot on Monday, Mar. 25 was estimated to be $800 million.

The largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history was $2.04 billion and was won by a California man on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022.
