Authorities ID Motorist, 84, Killed In Hit-Run Crash On Jersey Shore An 84-year-old man from Asbury Park was killed in a hit-and-run crash, authorities said. On Monday, March 21, at approximately 9 a.m., Neptune police responded to a motor vehicle collision on West Bangs Avenue, west of Alpine Trail.  An investigation of the scene revealed that Wesley Moore Jr,, of Asbury Park, was driving a 2020 Nissan Altima westbound on West Bangs Avenue, when his vehicle was sideswiped by a 2018 Kia Niro, driven by Ariel Vernet, 48, also of Asbury Park, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. School Bus Crash Reported In Central Jersey: Developing There was a school bus crash with injuries in Monmouth County, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The crash occurred before 3:30 p.m. on Route 33 at West Bangs Avenue in Neptune, initial reports said. An unconfirmed report said that there were at least four injuries and medics were en route.
