2022 Neptune Township Double Murder Sentencing
Two men were sentenced to prison time for their roles in what prosecutors called an "execution-style" double murder of a young man and woman in Neptune Township nearly two years ago. Gabriel Braithwaite, 21, of Keansburg was sentenced to 40 years in state prison on Friday, Jan. 5, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago announced. Braithewaite pleaded guilty in July 2023 to three charges, including two counts of first-degree murder. Jeron Dearin, 24, of Aberdeen was sentenced to five years in state prison. An Asbury Park police pursuit ended with the death of one occupant, the arrests of two others and the hospitalization of a fourth, authorities confirmed Tuesday. Two men from Bayshore have been indicted in connection with a double homicide that took place in Neptune Township earlier this year, authorities said. Gabriel J. Braithwaite, 19, of Keansburg and Jeron D. Authorities ID One Of Two Victims Slain In Jersey Shore Shooting
Two people died Wednesday in a Monmouth County, authorities said. A female victim has been identified as 18-year-old Samore Edwards of Plainfield in Union County, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. A male victim had yet to be positively identified as of Thursday.
