Truck Bursts Into Flames Near Route 287
Multiple fire departments descended on Somerset County on Friday, May 3, after a tractor trailer caught fire, sending plumes of smoke into the sky. Firefighters responded to Union Avenue near Route 287 in Finderne and were able to extinguish the tractor trailer fire along with three additional cars on the trailer, the Finderne Fire Department said on Facebook. A tractor trailer was engulfed in flames in Finderne. Finderne Fire Department Facebook Manville EMS and the Somerset County Haz-Mat team also responded, firefighters said. There were no reports of any injuries.

Tractor-Trailer Fire Partially Blocks NJ Turnpike
A tractor-trailer fire partially blocked the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. A right lane and shoulder in Eidson Township remained blocked at about 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, according to 511nj.org. The fire occurred at about 4:30 a.m. southbound north of Interchange 9 (Exit 18), the New Jersey Department of Transportation reported.

Tractor-Trailer Fire Delays Traffic On New Jersey Turnpike
A tractor-trailer fire delayed traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike in Cherry Hill, authorities said. Southbound lanes remained closed as of 9:25 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21. The crash occurred near Exit 4 at about 7:30 a.m., according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s traffic website. There were injuries, 511nj.org said. A medevac helicopter was en route, according to an unconfirmed report. Video from 6ABC Action News showed the charred front of a truck and multiple emergency vehicles. New Jersey State Police were not immediately available for comment.
