State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash on the Parkway northbound at milepost 116.8 in Holmdel Township at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Monday, April 25. Preliminary investigations revealed an Acura MDX was in a prior motor vehicle crash and became disabled facing southbound in the local lanes, according to Trooper Brandi Slota, a State Police spokeswoman. Daniel Grant Wyres, 37, of Marlton got into the unattended ambulance and drove off from the East Ridgewood Avenue facility at 12:50 p.m., Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton said. State Police Chase Suspect By Air, Foot, K-9 Along NJ Turnpike State troopers in Middlesex County were reported in pursuit of a suspect late Wednesday afternoon. The chase was reported along the New Jersey Turnpike near mile marker 77.7 in East Brunswick about 4:30 p.m., according to initial, unconfirmed reports. Troopers were reportedly searching for the suspect on foot and with the use of a K-9 unit. An aviation unit joined the search once thunderstorms passed about 5:15 p.m. It was unclear why the suspect was being pursued, or what initiated the chase. This is a developing news story.
