Two Charged With Murder In Asbury Shooting Death Two men from Monmouth County have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting two weeks ago, authorities said. Eddy Vilus, 30, and Quamere M. Smith, 31, both of Asbury Park, were charged with the shooting death of God Allah, 21, also of Asbury Park, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago. Both Vilus and Smith were charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, theft, hindering apprehension and weapons offenses, the prosecutor said. Fatal Shooting Investigated In Asbury Park A shooting that took place in Asbury Park yesterday is under investigation, authorities said. At approximately 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, Asbury Park police responded to Ridge and Springwood Avenues on a report of shots being fired.  Police found the victim, an adult male, who had sustained a gunshot wound. He was transported to Jersey Shore Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 2:45 p.m. His name has not been released. Asbury Park Police Recover 3 Loaded Handguns Three loaded handguns were recovered by police in separate Jersey Shore arrests, authorities said. At about 11 a.m. on Thursday, Asbury Park officers on bike patrol said they observed a young man brandishing a knife while arguing with another man outside the Atkins Deli.
