23-Year-Old Killed In Route 1 Crash A 23-year-old driver was killed in a crash on Route 1 in South Brunswick overnight, police said. It happened just before 12:55 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, on the southbound side of the highway near New Road, local police said. A 2012 Honda Accord struck a utility pole, killing the South Brunswick driver, authorities said. Anyone with information is urged to call Officer Bryan Sites at (732) 329-4648.
