A pedestrian was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train and killed in Monmouth County Thursday evening, Jan. 25, officials said. The person was struck near the railroad crossing at White Road in Little Silver at around 4:55 p.m., NJ Transit spokesperson Kyalo Mulumba said. A female driver died when an NJ Transit train struck her car in Hammonton Thursday afternoon, officials said. An Atlantic City Rail Line train leaving Atlantic City at 2:40 p.m. struck the vehicle around 3:20 p.m., NJ Transit spokeswoman Kate Thompson said.
