School Bus Driver Fell Asleep Before Crashing Into Howell House, No Children On Board: Police
A 22-year-old bus driver is suspected to have fallen asleep at the wheel before crashing into a house in Howell, authorities said. The crash into the side of a house occurred at about 7:15 a.m. on Asbury Road. Lt. Christian Antunez, a Howell Police Department spokesman, said the driver was injured but no children were on board. A 69-year-old Lakewood man was killed in a two-vehicle crash along Route 9 in Monmouth County early Sunday, Sept. 24, authorities said. His name had not been released. Three men tried to steal more than $2,000 worth of power tools from a Lowe's Home Improvement store and one of them went inside knowing he was infected with coronavirus, authorities said. Howell police have identified the man who crashed his vehicle into one of their patrol cars and then tried to flee on foot, authorities said.
