Firefighters Knock Down House Fire Closed Holmdel Street Firefighters knocked down a fire that closed a street in Holmdel Monday, Sept. 25. The blaze broke out around 11:10 a.m., bringing firefighters from several companies to Holmdel Road. All residents had evacuated when police arrived, and the blaze was put out by firefighters, police said. No injuries were reported. The Holmdel Fire Department and First Aid responded along with fire and first aid units from Hazlet, Union Beach, Middletown, Keyport, Tinton Falls, and Aberdeen.
