Teen Hockey Player Killed During Game Mourned On & Off The Ice
The death of a young athlete who died during a collision between two hockey players on the ice during a game earlier this week is being mourned in areas near and far from both inside and outside the hockey community. Fairfield County, CT resident Teddy Balkind was 16 years old and a 10th-grader at the St. Luke’s School in New Canaan. Pittsburgh Penguins Approved To Be Purchased By Fenway Sports Group: Report
The Pittsburgh Penguins sale to Fenway Sports Group has moved closer to being an official deal just days after the announcement of the possible sale was made, according to WPXI. The FSG board along with the Penguins board, have approved the sale of the team, according to the outlet citing a source close to the Penguins. The final step in the approval of the sale is a vote from the National Hockey League board. NJ Casinos, Racetracks Score Nationwide Sports Betting Record
New Jersey sports gamblers bet a nationwide record $668 million last month, officials said. That smashed the previous one-month record of $614 million bet in Nevada in November 2019, according to the state Division of Gaming Enforcement.
