Central Jersey Driver Killed In Route 130 Crash: Police
A 68-year-old man from Monroe Township was killed in a one-car crash on Route 130 last week, authorities said. Mitchell G. Rolins was driving a Subaru Crosstek south near the Cranbury Circle at about 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12 when his SUV overturned several times and struck a utility pole, Cranbury Police Chief Michael J. Owens said. Rolins was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, Owens said. Some parts of South Jersey received more than half a foot of snow during a pre-Valentine's Day winter storm. The National Weather Service said snow stopped falling in the region at around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13. While it wasn't as much as North Jersey, plenty of communities saw significant accumulation. Monmouth County Schools Closed Due To Major Winter Storm
Some South Jersey school districts are canceling classes or delaying the start of school before a winter storm that's expected on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Mercer, Middlesex, and Monmouth Counties. There is also a coastal flood warning in Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties. Driver Killed On I-295 Was New Dad, Co-workers Say
The man killed in a crash on Interstate 295 after his car became disabled was a new father, according to co-workers. Giovanni Adames, 30, of Rahway, was northbound in Greenwich Township in Gloucester County near milepost 16.6 when he crashed with an unknown vehicle, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Tornado Warning Issued In Parts Of NJ
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a tornado warning in parts of Mercer, Monmouth and Middlesex counties. At 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Edinburg, or 7 miles east of Trenton, moving east at 45 mph, the NWS said. Locations impacted include Hightstown, Cranbury, Roosevelt, Mercerville-Hamilton Square, Edinburg, Windsor, Twin Rivers, Clearbrook Park, Princeton Junction and Concordia. People in those areas were advised to seek cover.

NJ Turnpike Rest Stop Assault Suspect Sought By Police
New Jersey State Police seek the public's help identifying a woman who allegedly assaulted a cashier at a New Jersey Turnpike rest stop. The assault occurred at the Joyce Kilmer service area, according to the NJSP Troop “D” Criminal Investigation Office. On Wednesday, Feb. 16 at approximately 4:15 p.m., the suspect entered the Starbucks at the service area and threw an object at the victim as well as struck the victim with a closed fist, State Police said. Charges have been upgraded for a Central Jersey news reporter who intentionally drove her car into into oncoming traffic, killing a 95-year-old woman, authorities said. Lisa Pollitt, 36, has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault and obstruction in connection with the Thursday, Feb. 10 crash in Cranbury, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. There was a school bus crash in Middlesex County, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The crash occurred before 4 p.m. Thursday on the 200 block of Prospect Plains Road in Cranbury, initial reports said. A 1-year-old boy was killed and a 3-year-old boy suffered serious injuries when an Amazon truck struck a Maryland family’s vehicle from behind late Friday on the New Jersey Turnpike in Cranbury, authorities said. Young Messiah Gray and the other boy were passengers in a Toyota Camry driven by 24-year-old Kazara P.
