Human Remains At Wall Township Construction Site Not Believed To Be Suspicious: Prosecutors
Foul play was not suspected after human remains were found at a Jersey Shore construction site, authorities said. An analysis of the skeletal remains hasn't shown any evidence of the people's deaths being suspicious, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago and Wall Township police Chief Sean O'Halloran said in a news release on Friday, Apr. 19. 2 Workers Hospitalized In Somerset County Construction Accident
Two workers were hospitalized following a construction accident in Somerset County on Wednesday, August 2, authorities said. Bound Brook Police responded to a construction site at the corner of Vosseller Ave and West Maple Avenues around 11:55 a.m. While initial details were scarce, two workers at the site were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, police said. A Monmouth Beach man, who had previously been the owner of a residential construction company, has been sentenced to two years probation, authorities said. The former contractor pleaded guilty to stealing thousands of dollars from a client who had hired him to build a single-family home in Ocean Township, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Two people died in a crash involving a steamroller Friday, April 15 on Route 73, NJ Advance Media reports citing police. The fatalities were those of two people in the car that collided with the construction machine in the southbound lanes of the highway in Voorhees around 9 p.m., the outlet says. A worker at an abandoned New Jersey psychiatric hospital fell to his death on Wednesday, authorities said. Cristian Velez-Hurtado, 33, of Paterson had been working on the roof of Marlboro State Hospital on Springs Road (Monmouth County location) when he fell inside the building around 9:30 a.m., NJSP Sgt. A 50-year-old contractor from Barnegat was sentenced to a plea-bargained three years in prison Friday for overcharging 19 homeowners in repairs following Hurricane Sandy.
