Suspected Thief Wanted For Punching South Jersey Store Manager, Police Say
A man was wanted for assaulting a Burlington Township store's manager after stealing items, authorities said. Officers responded to a store on the 1100 block of Sunset Road at around 10:51 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, the Burlington Township Police Department said in a news release. A picture released of the suspect appeared to be inside a Dollar General. Investigators said the man tried to hide merchandise he was stealing and was confronted by the store manager. NJ Drug Dealer Pleads Guilty In Customer's Fentanyl/Heroin OD Death, Authorities Say
A Trenton drug dealer admit guilty to providing the fentanyl-laced heroin that caused a woman's fatal overdose in 2018, authorities announced Thursday. Daquan Marshall, 30, pleaded guilty to strict liability in the drug-induced death of the first-degree in exchange for a nine-year sentence in New Jersey State Prison on Sept. 14, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said. Marshall, who pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge John J. Burke III, will be sentenced on Oct. 19. Ex-Trenton Detective Gets 30 Years In State Prison For Sexually Assaulting Girls
A former Trenton police detective was sentenced to 30 years in state prison for sexually assaulting two girls over the course of several years, authorities said. William Sanchez-Monllor, 39, of Burlington Township, was sentenced on two counts of first-degree sexual assault Friday, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said. A video posted by the Burlington Township Police Department shows a pair of good Samaritans pulling an unconscious driver from a car after a crash -- seconds before it goes up in flames.
