Four people were hospitalized with serious injuries in two crashes on the New Jersey Turnpike just hours apart on Thursday, Oct. 6, first responders said. Robbinsville and Bordentown Township firefighters responded to the first crash near milepost 59.2 south of exit 7A and found that a person had a severe head injury after a truck had overturned in the outer lanes around 9:20 a.m., the Robbinsville Fire Department said. A 36-year-old volunteer firefighter from South Jersey has been arrested on child porn charges, authorities said. Jay J. Howe of Bordentown Township was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Bordentown Township Police Chief Brian Pesce. 'The Realest': NJ Motorcyclist, 27, Killed After Being Struck By Elderly Driver, Police Say
A 27-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a South Jersey crash on Friday, authorities said. Brandon Agron was heading north on a Kawasaki motorcycle on Route 206 near Amboy Road when he was struck from behind by a 2016 Kia Sedan around 9:45 p.m., Bordentown Township police said. Agron, of Jobstown, was pronounced dead at the scene while the Kia driver -- John Tozzi -- 82, of Hamilton -- was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, police said. A 34-year-old man from Burlington County has admitted to trying to kill his girlfriend four years ago, authorities said. Akil Herbert of Florence Township pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted murder, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said.
