Dishawn Bellamy, 32, and a 17-year-old boy were in a Ford Explorer that sped past two officers headed toward the sound of gunfire in the area of Atkins Avenue and Boston Way in separate cars shortly before 7:30 p.m. on June 5, 2022. Man, 27, Killed In Asbury Park Shooting: Prosecutor A 27-year-old man from Asbury Park was killed in a shooting last week, authorities said. The victim has been identified as Derek L. Bussey, according to  Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago. Shortly after 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9, members of the Asbury Park Police Department responded to Atkins Avenue between Adams Street and Boston Way on a report of a shooting, Santiago said. Philip Gross was taken into custody with help from local police after he was spotted riding an electric scooter on Atkins Avenue in Asbury Park Tuesday, Oct. 18, the US Marshals' New York / New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force said.
