NJ Coronavirus Cases Now At 11 With Newest Cases In Monmouth County

The first two presumed positive cases of coronavirus have been identified in Monmouth County, authorities said.

That brings the statewide total of positive cases to 11. 

Monmouth County Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone and Freeholder Deputy Director Susan M. Kiley issued the following joint statement on Monday: “The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders has just received notice of two presumptive positive cases of Coronavirus in Monmouth County."

The newest cases involve:

An 83-year-old woman from Hazlet who is being treated at Hackensack Meridian Health Bayshore Medical Center.

A 27-year-old man from Little Silver who being treated at Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center. The man recently attended the Biogen conference in Boston, officials said.

Both patients are currently hospitalized and in stable condition.

The county board is monitoring the developing situation and is prepared to take the appropriate actions to protect the public health and safety of Monmouth County residents.

More information will be provided as it becomes available, officials said.
