Daza passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her beloved handler Patrolman Emmett Idzahl surrounded by her family, Wall Police Department announced on Facebook.
Daza was crossed trained in narcotics detection and tracking.
She served Wall Township from 2013 to 2021.
"Daza was a loyal partner to Ptl Idzahl as well as all the men and women of Wall Twp Police. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ptl Idzahl and his family," the post read.
Daza has been laid to rest with her fellow K9 officers at the Tinton Falls K9 cemetery.
